Which substrates does facade coating work on?

Our coating is suitable for plastic window frames, aluminium facade cladding, powder-coated panels, Trespa, steel substrates and concrete. It can also be applied to certain types of plasterwork, provided the substrate is stable and well-bonded. When in doubt, we always carry out a test area first.

Where exterior wall insulation has been applied, we assess the top layer: is it suitable for coating or not? For insulation systems with a mineral finish, coating usually works well. For systems with a polymer top layer, we advise per situation whether facade coating is the right choice or whether facade paint would be a better fit.

Our approach: from intake to delivery

We always start with a free intake at your location. Our specialist assesses the substrate, measures the surface area and discusses the desired colour or transparant finish and result with you. Based on that, you receive a tailored quote, usually within one working week.

Before we start, we apply a test area. This is a small surface of 0.5 square metres in a less visible spot. That way you can see in advance how the colour and finish will look. If the result meets your expectations, the full treatment follows: cleaning with professional products, surface preparation and applying the coating in one covering layer.

After 48 hours the coating is fully cured. You receive a delivery with maintenance advice for the coming years. That way the result stays beautiful for a long time and you know when a light cleaning is sufficient.

Protection and durable facade protection

The coating forms a nanolayer that prevents dirt from adhering and provides facade protection against UV, rain and weathering. Dirt washes off more easily in the rain and the colour remains stable for a long time. For owners of commercial buildings and homeowners’ association boards, this means less frequent maintenance and an extended lifespan of the existing facade materials.

Ten-year protection

The coating provides a ten-year protection on adhesion and colour retention under normal usage conditions. This lifespan forms the basis on which you can evaluate the investment: over a period of ten years, you save significantly on replacement costs and interim maintenance.
